50 Arrested From a Bar in Ntinda For Breaking Covid-19 Regulations

Uganda Police has confirmed the arrest of 50 people that were found in a bar in Ntinda over breaking Covid-19 regulations.

According to Police, the victims were extracted from Garage Bar located in Ntinda Kigowa after a tipoff.

“50 people were last night arrested from the Garage Bar located in Ntinda Kigowa after a tipoff. ” Reads a tweet from Uganda Police.

They continued to note that all the 50 are currently detained at different police stations in the division and will also be arraigned in court today for fines.

It should be noted that the president of Uganda prohibited all bar activities last year after the global breakout of the Covid-19 Corona Virus Pandemic and till now they have never been opened.
