The unfortunate killing of Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga shocked almost every one in the country as nobody had predicted that he could be on the list of the ruthless gunmen that have claimed a number of people in broad day light.
Just like the Former Assistant General of Police Felix Kaweesi, security personells have handled the Abiriga case with immediate effect and they have reportedly arrested two suspects in connection with this bruta murder that happened Friday Last week.
More reports reveal that Seven others, including three witnesses concerning the same case, have also been interrogated by the Criminal Investigations Department.
According to reliable sources, the arrests were made in a joint security operation of Counter-terrorism, Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and CID forces.
However, Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima declined to give a confirmation of the arrests but confirmed that many witnesses have been questioned by police.
This comes in when Police has just issued a warranty of arrest of a one Nasser Mugerwa, who sent out an audio recording claiming they used crime preventers to kill Abiriga and that many other NRM supporters of who backed the age limit amendment bill are on the waiting list along side Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Betty Nambooze Bakireke.
Ibrahim Abiriga alongside his brother Saidi Kongo were gunned down by unknown assailants on Friday last week as he was going back to his home in Kirinyabigo, Kawanda Wakiso district.
