Africain advances to Quarters after beating KCCA FC 4 – 0

Club Africain 4 – 0 KCCA FC

  • Club Africain 4 – 0 KCCA (Tunisia),
  • FUS Rabat 2 – 1 Rivers United (Morocco)

Moroccan side Fath Union Sport Rabat (FUS Rabat) and Tunis side Club Africain advanced to quarter finals of CAF Confederation Cup 2017.

Rabat won Nigerian side Rivers United 2 – 1 in the late minutes of the game from Morocco making them second with 9 points and 1 goal difference while Africain thumped the Ugandan favorite, KCCA FC 4 – 0 to top Group A table with 12 points.

The Yellow Brigade finished 3rd with 9 points but with -4 goal difference after registering all the 3 home wins and Rivers United finished at the bottom with 6 points, what a tight group this has been!!! But unfortunately, these two will appear no more in this campaign..

The yellow brigade put a great game play through out the 90 minutes but couldn’t stop the host’s outstanding pace and thirst for scoring goals that have now given them 90% hopes of booking a place in the quarters with 3 goals that came in the 10th, 24th, 40th and 92nd minutes respectively.

Thanks #KCCA FC for representing Uganda, may be next time.. you shall make it..!!
