Arsenal has beaten Leicester City 2-1 in the much anticipated match at the Emirates Stadium. Substitute Danny Welbeck, who hadn’t appeared all season, scored the winning goal (90th minute) in injury time to give Arsenal a massive win in the race for the title.
The win gets back Arsenal into the title race with a victory that felt big enough to shift the balance of power at the top.
Leicester, as is their way, gave everything, and to get nothing from the game may be incredibly damaging. That said, they have a run of very winnable games now and are still the team at the top no matter what happens between Spurs and Man City this afternoon. What a dramatic game.
