ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP: Liverpool FC 4 – 0 Arsenal FC
It was the last Premiership game of the weekend and all fans were eager to support their teams as they were tussling it out in one of the first games of the Season where Liverpool FC was hosting Arsenal at Anfield.
However, Gunners fans were all over the place at the end of the game play, murmuring to them selves as their beloved boys lost 4 – 0 to Jurggen Klopp’s boys who produced a dazzling attacking display to humiliate Arsene Wenger’s side.
Roberto Firmino opened the score sheet by heading in Joe Gomez’s cross to give Liverpool a 17th-minute lead before Sadio Mane curling in Liverpool’s second.
After 57 minutes, Mohamed Salah ran half the length of the field on the break to stroke home the third and later in the 77th minute, Liverpool substitute Daniel Sturridge gave the scoreline a more realistic appearance when he headed home the fourth at the far post from Salah’s cross to overrun Arsenal that showed no stomach for the fight.
