Despite the number of exciting moments over the weekend such as the Kanye West Visit to Uganda, Uganda Cranes thumping of Lesotho by 3 – 0 in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers, Moses Golola Vs Umar Semata fight among others, it didn’t end well for Singer Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine’s fans after learning about the unfortunate cancelling of their star’s concert.
The much anticipated concert dubbed ‘Kyarenga’ was scheduled on the 20th of October 2018 at Nelson Mandela National Stadium Namboole. It was going to be the singer’s first concert ever since he turned to Politics that led him to become the legislator of the Kyadondo East Constituency.
There has been a lot of controversies and theories behind the cancelling of this event, many directed to be political since the ‘Kyarenga’ is currently the top trending political item the country has currently internationally. However, Ugandan Buzz through its reliable reporters has established the truth. There was a pre-booked wedding.
Namboole management confirmed that the singer cannot hold his concert on 20th October 2018 as scheduled as there are two events that will be taking place at the facility one of which is a wedding.
According to the stadium managing director, Jamil Sewanyana Mpagi, the stadium has two pre-booked events namely Uganda Athletic Federation workshop from 15th October to 26th October and a wedding ceremony on 20th October 2018.
The singer has however been advised to reschedule the event and inform the police about it if he is to hold the concert at the stadium.
This news came a day after the singer’s baby mama, Barbie Kyagulanyi had just announced the sale of the tickets for the concert. Stay posted for more details.
