Self proclaimed President of the ‘Uganja Republic’, H.E Bobi Wine started making music in the early 2000s with hit songs of Akagoma and Funtula under his co-founded Fire base Crew that he still leads till now.
He is an high school OB of Old Kampala Secondary School and Makerere University Kampala Alumina where he graduated from after pursuing a bachelors degree in Music Dance and Drama.
He is a staunch catholic who is Married to Barbie Itungo who he met at the University and later walked down the aisle to legalize their relationship before God in August 2011 at Lubaga Cathedral and they so far have four children including Solomon Kampala Nyanzi, Shalom Namagembe, Shadraq Shilling Mbogo, and the baby.
He has won different music awards including Pearl of Africa Awardss, Hipipo Awards among others.
He is well known for his advocacy for the ghetto residents in Uganda through his songs and actions as he has supported several practical projects to improve conditions for the poor like donating pit latrines to schools, bedding to the orphans, Sanitary ware to the adolescent girls in various parts of the Country.
Lastly, Bobi Wine if not the most, he is one of the most Successful musicians in Uganda from which he has been able to construct his eye catching mansion in Magere Gayaza where he resides, Semakokiro Plaza, Busabala Beach, Barbie Hardware plus other investments and wealth that features posh rides, boats among others.
