Celebrity Biography: Geoffrey Massa


Early Life

Massa is a former Uganda Cranes forward and captain, mugishu by tribe and son to Wilson Mulasha and Margaret Watisembwa from Bududa – Mbale. He studied from Walukuba West primary school, JIPA, and St Kizito – Namugongo.

Starting a football career

Massa started his football career in Walukuba Red stars, a home village football club before joining Wawa FC. He later joined Jinja based UTODA FC where his great balling skills came to the eyes of Police FC officials to signed him in 2004.

While in Police FC, a top flight club in the country’s league, his combined effort with Martin Muwanga made the duo help each other net as many goals as they could to help their by then middle table placed club scoop the 2004/05 season’s league title from unbeatable balling giants like KCCA FC and SC Villa amidst great competition.

Professional Career

Being a goal machine in that season, he lured Egypt’s Al Masry sign him at the start of the following local league season and from then he has played in various international clubs including El Shams, Jomo Cosmos, Itesalat, Yenicami Agdelen, University of Pretoria, Bloemfontein Celtic and Baroka FC.

Breaking through into Uganda Cranes

Captain Massa started playing for Uganda Cranes in 2005 where he featured the squad that represented Uganda in the LG Cup football tournament in Egypt. He has been the National Team’s captain for over 5 years before officially declaring his retirement from National football in march 2017 at 31 years following great critics due the poor performance he showed up in the AFCON 2017 finals, Gabon.


He currently resides in Kisaasi, a Kampala outskirt, a married man happily living with his official wife Majorine Nabuline whom he met in 2007 and together they have so far sired three children: Judith Massa, Henry Massa and Faith Massa.
