Celebrity Biography: About Songstress Fille Mutoni

Singer Fille hit the music scene with her ‘where’ve been’ song in 2013 and since then, she has never looked back musically. Origin & Early Life of Fille Mutoni

Real names Mutoni Fille, she was born on 25th July in western Uganda 24 years ago. Mutoni is one of the few artists that use their real names as stage names. ‘Fille’ was given to her by her mother as the second name.

“I am very naughty. I will make fun of anything and I am very outgoing.” She describes her self.

Though many claim she sounds Rwandan and expect her decent to be way far to the land of a thousand hills (Rwanda), Fille Mutoni is a Ugandan, born a Mukiga and has spent all her life in Kampala.

Education

Fille went to Nakasero for primary, Lubiri s.s for secondary and she pursued a bachelors in public administration at Makerere University Kampala.

Music

Before we all knew her because of her music or may be because of her relationship with City Celebrated Emcee, MC Kats, Fille was a church girl at Rubaga Miracle Centre.

“I was a soprano in the choir and I was also a member of gospel group G-Way, ” She narrates

She adds on that after crossing the bridge from Gospel to secular music, she got criticised but to her, salvation is personal. Fille believes Christianity is from the heart because at the end of the day she sings and still prays.

“I still go to church, I still give tithe and I still attend church. So I was not moved by the criticism.” The ‘Ozina Bulungi’ singer affirms

She has thrown out various music singles many of which have turned out to be hits like ‘It’s Not About The Money’,

Songstress Fille Mutoni records all her music at the Bukooto based studio Buddiez and her personal music producer is called Andy Muzic.

About her future in the music industry, Fille hopes that people will still love her music and she is not planning on boring her fans by giving them the same thing.

Relationships and Family

Fille is married to City celebrated Emcee, Edwin Katamba popularly known as MC Kats with whom they share a child. Fille says she is not much after the ‘money’ as most girls of her age are while entering a relationship, all she needs is someone who is genuine and honest, period!

“I am more like all the other girls….. but I’m extremely honest with my feelings.” She brags

She met Kats at one of the Kadanke fetes where a friend of hers had invited her to see teens enjoying themselves. He was emceeing and when she performed, he liked her voice, they started chatting till now..
