A number of years back from now, singers Bobi Wine and Bucha man were good friends. The were under the Fire Base Crew with the Former being the President and the latter his Vice of their self-made Ghetto Republic Of Uganda. However, they later fell out with the ‘Lwaki Temumatira’ singer accusing the ‘Kyarenga’ hit maker of manipulation and crippling his music career.
In 2017 when Bobi Wine came out to stand for the Kyaddondo East Member of Parliamentary seat that he later won, Bucha Man rather supported his opponent, FDC Flag Bearer Appolo Kantinti. He later proclaimed him self as the new and rightful Ghetto President saying that Bobi Wine had neglected his Ghetto roles to join active politics and right now, it still appears to be the same. He has no hopes of standing by his former boss in the forthcoming general elections where he hopes of aspiring for State Presidency.
He believes politics is a sin that he wouldn’t advise any youth (Including Bobi) to join.
“I don’t hate Bobi Wine and I can’t hate him because there’s no reason why I should hate him. But politics is a dirty game and I advise youths not to involve themselves in politics. Politics is a sin and no rastaman should be involved in that……. It’s only the Rastafari system that can change the Babylon system.” He disclosed after being asked about his view on Bobi Wine’s hopes to run for the Presidential seat.
Bucha Man however maintained his ground on his relationship with the ‘People Power’ movement leader, noting that he no longer harbors blood blood for him.
