Liverpool Tied Against City in Champions League quarters as Barca, Bayern Face Weaker Sides

After seeing off the Round 16 of UEFA Champions League mid this week, the draw for the quarter-finals of the European top tournament has been made in Nyon, for each club that qualified to learn about its fate.

The top trending draw is that of Premier League leaders Manchester City, being given to face English rivals Liverpool since they are both the English last remaining representatives after Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham having crushed out in the round of 16.

City secured their place in the last eight by beating Basel at an aggregate of 5 – 2 as Liverpool saw off Porto on an average of 5-0.

Meanwhile, Elsewhere in in the quarter-final draw, having knocked out the French favorites, PSG at an aggregate of 5 – 2, holders Real Madrid were handed a tie against Italian giants Juventus, who beat Tottenham in the last round with an aggregate of 4 – 3.

La Liga leaders Barcelona will play the other remaining Italians, AS Roma, while the reward for Sevilla’s victory over Manchester United at the Legendary Old Traffold was a date against the only Germany Representatives, Bayern Munich.
