With the ongoing #FreeBobiWine social media campaign claiming one of the Top Trending Hashtags in Africa, prominent deejays country wide have also resolved a way of fighting for the jailed and severely tortured Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament, Hon Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine.
They will be playing the musician turned politician’s music after every 15 minutes at the top of every hour in social protest until the legislator is released.
It is believed that Bobi Wine was severely tortured after being arrested in Arua earlier this week by the army and charged with treason that many believe are imaginary and fabricated charges. He was presented to the court martial yesterday where only two civilians were allowed access to who later revealed to the world that the ‘Freedom Fighter’ could not walk but also sit, talk, eat and appreciate what is happening around him.

“Mr Kyagulanyi’s health is in dire state… He is in great pain. He can’t talk, he can’t walk, he sits with a lot of difficulty, his face is swollen and he cannot see,… He couldn’t speak when the charges were read to him and I believe he didn’t know what was going or understood the charges read to him.” Medard Segona, one of his lawyers, said.
