Coach Kajoba Joins Basena in Tanzania.

Tanzania’s Ihefu SC Welcomed Two Ugandan Coaches, Basena & Kajoba as Their Coaches.

Coach Kajoba Joins Basena in Tanzania.

Following the dismissal of the Serbian national from the head coaching position of Uganda’s national football team, the Cranes, there was a ripple effect on the coaching staff. Fred Kajoba, the goalkeeping coach, and assistant coach Basena also faced their exit.

After a period on the sidelines, coach Basena received a promising opportunity from Tanzania’s Ihefu SC. The club had recently parted ways with their coach of over three years, creating a vacancy. Basena was chosen to succeed Zuber Katwila, and he extended an invitation to his old friend to join him as his deputy and goalkeeping coach in Tanzania.

Ihefu SC currently holds the eighth position in the league table out of 16 teams, having secured six points in five matches played. The duo is gearing up for their debut match together on Saturday, where they will face Coastal Union. Wishing the lads from Uganda the best of luck in their new roles!
