Celebrated Luganda comic icon and former Amalula Family, Amooti Omubalanguzi has finally decided to set strategies that will see him run for a seat in Parliament in 2021 general elections as a member of Parliament for Nansana.
Close sources can reveal that the ‘Akaama ka CHOGM’ comedy main feature will be contesting as an independent candidate to lengthen the list of artistes who have ever had a seat in the Ugandan parliament like Bobi Wine, Kato Lubwama among others.
Eversince Bobi wine won the parliamentary seat for Kyaddondo East, a number of Ugandan artistes have already shown up political interest in the 2021 general elections. These Include CBS FM’s Patriko Mujuuka for Chairperson LC V Nakifuma, Singer Navio for MP Lubaga South, Bukedde TV’s Oluyimba lwo host Flavia Namulindwa for Woman MP Gomba, Mathias Walukagga, Ronald Mayinja among others.
