The Premier League star Jermain Defoe broken down into tears after getting information that his 6 year aged best Friend Bradley Lowery had died after a brave battle with Cancer neuroblastoma.
“It has been difficult… because I’ve been keeping this in for so long, trying to be strong for my family and his family.” Jermain Defoe
He was in his first AFC Bournemouth press conference while being unveiled to the fans as the new forward for the club when he received sad news of his best friend and cancer fighting youngster Bradley Lowery passing on.
Their friendship started when the six-year-old walked out as a mascot with his hero before a Sunderland game and later struck up a strong bond with Defoe regularly visiting Bradley.
Last week, after Bradley’s heartbroken family revealed his health had gone down hill and he was “close to being with angels”, Defoe made a tear jerking last visit to Bradley for final hugs.
