President Museveni has ordered for the closure of places of worship in high risk districts of Mubende and Kassanda.
He announced this during his 3rd time to talk to the nation about Ebola disease that has threatened Uganda for the past couple of weeks.
Uganda now records a total of 58 confirmed cases from the districts of Mubende, Kyegegwa, Kassanda, Kagadi, and Bunyangabu as well as 19 deaths.
During the same Nation address, he also declared a daily curfew on high risk districts; Mubende and Kassanda from 7pm-6am to contain the spread of Ebola. Movement into and out of the two districts has also been restricted.
“I now direct as follows; Movements into and out of Mubende district is prohibited . Also, movement from Kassanda to Mubende and vise-versa is prohibited. There will be curfew in Mubende and Kassanda from 7pm to 6am” He said.
For long route travellers, Cars traveling through Mubende and Kasanda must have Police clearance and are not to be permitted any stop along these two districts, or even pick. If it happens that you slept in these districts, you will remain there for 21 days.
