Eight KIU Students Demise In a Fatal Accident

Kampala International University (KIU) students, staff and management are coiled in grief after learning about the death of eight of their students in a motor accident.

The fatal accident that left several others injured occurred on Saturday along Kampala-Gulu highway in Nakasongola district while a team of 13 belonging to the Banyarwanda Association of the university was traveling in a commuter taxi from a party when their taxi crushed into another commuter taxi that left six dead at spot.

The departed colleagues include a 22-year old Vincent Kwizera, a third year bachelors of business administration student, Frank Ngarambi who was doing a bachelors in Business administration and accounting, Fred Gasasira (Bachelors of tourism, Emmanuel Shema, Vincent Kwizera among others.

Survivors including Diana Kanyana and others are nursing wounds at St. Francis Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.
