Thousands Grace Bell All-star Concert as King Michael’s Flops

Yesterday night, Friday 23rd August was packed with a number of partying events that included the Bell All-star concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Taata Sam’s at Theatre Labonita, Dj Shiru’s Ambiance and King Michael’s at Freedom city among others.

However, some did go as expected while others disappointed.

Lugogo Cricket Oval was filled by thousands of reggae lovers as Jamaican sensational artists D Major and Christopher Martin treated the crowed wih an epic performance. The gates were opened as early as 3pm with revelers flocking the venue like it was of free of charge. The show then started towards 7pm with curtain raising performances from local artists that included Beenie Gunter, Nina Roz, Feffe Bussi, John Blaq, Sheebah Karungi, Chosen Blood, Spice Diana and Daddy Andre among others.

However, the same night gave the self-made dancehall king Michael Mugwanya alias King Michael a moment to forget after his maiden concert at Freedom City turned out to be a massive flop. He shed tears after realising that he was performed for empty seats.

The ‘Wandekera Omwana’ hit maker of ealry 2000’s joined the likes of Fik Fameica, Ragga Dee, Mega Dee and others who have sung for ghosts and ancestors.
