Ethiopian Gidey Defends Title in World Cross Country

Though the IAAF World cross country athletics that took place yesterday in Uganda Kampala at Kololo Airstrip were mainly dominated by Kenyans, Ethiopia had a place to claim too amongst the top countries in the championships.
Ethiopian Letesenbet Gidey defended her title in the women’s 6km U-20 event with a time of 18:34 beating the time she claimed at the Gold medal in China 2 years back in the same competions helping her country finish second with 9 medals: 4 gold medals, four silvers and a bronze.
