Late last month, we reported about how Tanzanian rapper Mussa Ramadhani a.k.a Chin Bees had sued the Ugandan singer of the moment Walikagga Shafiq alias Fik Fameica over song duplication.

Chin Bees stated it clear through the letter dated November 23 and issued by KTA Advocates that Fik’s song dubbed ‘Mafia’ bears the same musical composition and arrangement as his music piece dubbed ‘Pepeta’. And indeed, it is.

He continued to say that the two songs are entirely alike phonetically and took issue with Fameica’s unlawful copying and unauthorized use of the song, ordering him to immediately cease and desist from further promotion and performance of the song.

However, days had passed without getting a response from either Fik Fameica or his manager Karma Ivien till recently when the

‘Sconto’ singer came out to defend himself on these copy and paste accusations.

While appearing for an interview on NBS Television a head of his ‘my journey concert’ slated for December 14, Fik Fameica said that he only jumps onto tracks made by his producers.

He further claimed that most trap instrumentals sound alike and this where Chin Bees might have got a reason to plan of suing him. He also revealed that it’s his remix of the song with South Africa’s rapper Casper Nyovest that sparked the feud once again since Chin Bees demanded to feature on the remix yet the rapper was not interested in.

However, as the Interview went on, Fameica confessed that Chin Bees had contacted him via social media about the same song but they have become good friends and are to record a collaboration soon.
