Exclusive but still unconfirmed rumor is that Commandant of the Tourism Police, Commissioner of Police Frank Mwesigwa is on the run after learning that he is being hunted by Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and Internal Security Organization (ISO) Operatives.
According to our reliable sources, Intelligence learns that he has discarded his own phones away.
This comes after the arrest of former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kale Kayihura over misuse of his office while he was still in power before being replaced by a one Martin Ochola.
A source reveals that Frank Mwesigwa is one of Kayihura’s intimate boys he planned with all the kinds of dirty things during his hey days in the office of IGP.
Who is Frank Mwesigwa?
He is a former Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander who was replaced by CP Moses Kafeero earlier this year. Mwesigwa is currently the new head of the Tourism Police department in the Uganda Police that was created in 2014 to facilitate a safer stay of tourists in the country.
He was born on April 2, 1980 in Kazo, but migrated to Naama Kiburamu, Kiruhura district, where he grew up. His parents are Rtd Rev Canon Patrick Bwerere and Mrs Bwerere.
Mwesigwa went to Kashwa primary school in Kiruhura district, Mbarara High School and Makerere University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. He also holds a master’s degree in peace studies and conflict transformation from a university in Rwanda.
He got married early in 2017 to Monica Kamwine and they have been blessed by a child.
