Gafford Ladies in FUFA Women Cup Finals

FULLTIME: Gafford Ladies 2 – 1 Mutesa I Royal University

The 1st semi finals play off of the ‘FUFA Uganda Cup’ tourney for women, the FUFA Women Cup, was played today, 8th June 2017, at Muteesa II Stadium Wankuluku seeing Gafford Ladies locking horns with Mutesa I Royal University.

The clash was won by Gafford Ladies by 2 – 1 with goals from striker Monica Namwase and Kenyan side Teddy Veronica to lift the team to the final stages of the tournament while the looser’s stunning 20 yards consolation scored by midfielder Abiba Nakayobyo.

Another Semi final will be between UCU Lady Cardinals and Soroti based Olila on Friday, 9th June 2017 at the UCU main campus stadium in Mukono in search of Gafford contestant in the finals that will be played on 18th June 2017 at the Madibira playground in Busia Municipality.
