Geosteady: Duplication makes our music industry not creative

Singer Geoffrey Kigozi a.k.a Geosteady has commented on why Uganda’s music industry is still lagging behind on the international scene.

The “Owooma” singer said that Ugandan musicians are not as such creative as those outside like those from Nigeria, a reason why selling locally made music pieces to the outside market is still ages away from where we are.

We are not creative compared to the outside market, we over make the same thing like Beats, melody. My point of view every artiste should have his/her own beat compared to the lyrics and the melodic flow.

The singer gave another point of not being cooperative, he says that working together with say music producers lets them exercise their own creativity.

For I’m not here to compete or win as number one or two in the industry no no no am here for a positive change.” Lamented his final remarks.
