Gomba, Ssingo set for 2017 Airtel Masaza Cup final

Final: Gomba Vs Singo – 3:30 p.m
3rd Place play-off: Buddu Vs Busiro – 12:00 p.m

The 2017 Airtel Masaza Cup tournament is seeing its last game today Saturday 26th August 2017 while the 2005 winners, Ssingo locking horns with the three time champions Gomba (2004, 2009 and 2014) at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole for a UGX 10 million prize money given to the winner.
The game will start at 3:30 pm before the chief spectator, Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II who will crown the winners at the end of the epic Battle.

Gomba qualified for the final after defeating the defending champions Buddu in a thrilling and dramatic semi-final game that ended in penalty shootouts (4 – 3) since each team had won with 1 – 0 on away.

On the other side, Singo qualified after defeating Busiro (2-1 aggregate win) in the Semis with 1-0 in the first leg and 1-1 draw in the second leg.
