Miss Rwanda beauty contest returned over the weekend in Kigali with a one Miss Grace Ingabire being crowned the winner.
She replaces Miss Rwanda 2020 Miss Naomie Nishimwe whose reign was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
That highest tense moment and the the level of suspense was wow in the Kigali Arena as two contestants; Inhabited Grace and Akalinza remained on the podium before the charges announcing the winner.
Ingabire, a 25 years old and representive of Kigali City couldn’t believe it as she broke into tears of joy. She is a University graduate with a Major in Dance, a concentration in Globalisation and philosophy & psychology.
She was followed by Akaliza Amanda, a 24 year old and representative of Kigali and Umutoni Witness, a 20 year old finished third.
Miss Rwanda 2021 Ingabire Grace won a brand new Hyundai Creta 2021 worth Rwf38 million offered by Hyundai Rwanda.
She also received a 55 inch, 4K LED Ultra HD Smart TV from Startimes Rwanda, Rwanda’s pioneer and most affordable Pay-TV Network in the country.
The crown also earned Miss Ingabire Grace to represent Rwanda in Miss World beauty contest and will be getting a monthly salary of Rwf800,000 from @MissRwandaDotRW organisation.
According to the organisers, All top 20 finalists will be offered scholarships of their choice by University Of Kigali based on their level of education and progress.
Miss Rwanda main sponsor, Africa Improved Foods will financially support Miss Ingabire to implement her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project and in her first project, Africa Improved Foods Rwanda will support Miss Ingabire Grace in social and income generating project of offering livestock to community health workers who help pregnant and lactating mothers as well as their children through Shisha Kibondo program.
