The first leg of Uganda Cup semi finals play offs has been played toady at Phillip Omondi Stadium Lugogo and ended giving KCCA FC, the hosts, full advantage of the game after scooping all the 3 points from the Wankulukuku based red eagles.
Both teams have put out an impressive play as Mike Mutebi Boys seemed to have dominated the first half of the game that ended 1 – 0 in their favor from a goal from Tom Masiko and in the first 5 minutes of the second half that saw Geoffrey Sserunkuuma netting a penalty that seemed to have sealed the win in the 48th minute.
However, the Visitors, Express FC were awakened by this second goal, increased pace in the game, dominating it, making substitutions for Sulaiman Jingo being replaced by Semujju Joseph and Juma Sebadukka replaced by Steven Luswala. In the 58th minute, Simon Serunkuuma pulled 1 to make the game 2 – 1
Things worsened for the Visitors since a minute later KCCA’S Geoffrey Serunkuuma powered home by a third goal from a stunning assist from Derrick Nsibambi.
This didn’t bother the Visitors bid to fight for at least a point in the game as they kept on pressing, asking Captain Dennis Okot’s back line various questions to answer and in the 71st minute, Allan Kyambadde nodded a second for Express from 6 yards.
Both teams continued showing how bad they wanted the game till the 90th minute when th offiials added in 3 minutes from which Express got a cear chance to level the game but put out wide by Yayo Lutimba before center referee Dennis Batte’s final whistle to declare Kasasiro Boys victory for 1st leg of Uganda Cup Semi Finals.
