KCCA FC 1 : 1 Mamelodi Sundowns (AGGREGATE 2: 3)
It has been a hard time at Phillip Omondi Stadium at Lugogo for the Masandawana a.k.a Mamelodi Sundowns while advancing to the group stages of CAF Champions League until an 81st minute equalizer from substitute Laffor Anthonty put their hopes to reality.
The Home Boys, KCCA FC played well from the start of the game till the last whistle from referee Bondo. Leading the game in the 24th minute by 1 – 0 with a goal from Veteran Geoffrey Serunkuma, a goal that was very crucial for them to qualify on away Goals rule. KCCA FC had gotten an away goal that was still keeping the club’s chances alive in a 2-1 defeat last week friday in South Africa.
Substitute players like Paul Musamali showed great confidence in the game being industrious ever since coming on for team mate Paul Mucureezi, giving the defending champions players like Soumahoro hard time, but luck wasn’t just on their side.
