The biggest beauty pageant in the country is back with this year’s edition, Miss Uganda 2019. The search for the 2019 beauty queen will be starting next week, 20th May with the first auditions as announced yesterday Thursday at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Kampala.
This was announced by the Miss Uganda CEO Brenda Nanyonjo, who is also the director for Kezzi Entertainment.
“We are looking for young and confident girls. On top of the usual attributes like age and height, we will also be keen on personality and character. If you have what it takes, pick up forms and register.” She said.
Just like from the previous editions mostly the 2018 edition, contestants will be scouted from the different regions across the country through holding regional searches but due to time constraints, each day there will be scouting for two regions.
“Unlike the previous year, we are to sieve two regional competitors in one day to beat time.” Brenda Nanyonjo asserted.
The lucky candidates will head to the boot-camp on July 6th and the winner will be crowned on July 27th during a ceremony that will be hosted at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
This year’s edition will again see Zari Hassan return as the Miss Uganda 2019 patron as well as the judge as it was last year.
