Latest from the America’s film industry is that Kenyan decent Lupita Nyong’o and Star Singer Rihanna are set to star in a film that is soon going into production.
The film is to be directed by Ava DuVernay and was written by Issa Rae.
The film idea started as a joke on Twitter when a photo of Rihanna and Nyong’o taken at a 2014 fashion show made rounds with the caption, “They look like they’re in a heist movie with Rihanna as the tough-as-nails leader/master thief and Lupita as the genius computer hacker.”
Twitter users went so far as to ask for DuVernay to direct, with Rae to write. And there, a dream movie started with the four women pledging their support to the project on the social media platform.
