The search for the next Miss Tourism Uganda 2018 kicked off over the Weekend first with the Busoga Region. The contest saw 11 ladies, youths of course vying for to scoop the regional beauty purgent at a ceremony organised at Kagulu hill, Buyende District.
They were tested in different styles by the Judges that also included Oral Interviews encompassing Questions regarding the Tourism Beauty of their Region and Uganda at large.
Eighteen-year-old Ruth Kitamirike from Buganbula Chiefdom emerged as the overall winner of the Miss Tourism Busoga and crowned Miss Congeniality of the Region with the First Runner up as Mutesi Anitah, 23, from Bunna Chiefdom and Second Runner up as Nabirye Penninah, aged 24years old.
Other awards went to Phiona Naisanga as miss Talent after putting out a spectacular performance of the Basoga dance that left the crowd craving for more while Margaret Naimuli was chosen as Miss Creativity as well as Miss Source of the Nile.
Ruth Kitamirike was crowned as Miss Tourism Busoga 2018 by the President of the republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The event was organised by the Kingdom of Busoga through it’s ministry of Tourism headed by Ms Hellen Namutamba. The Next Search of Miss Tourism Uganda 2018 goes to Karamojong Region.
