The night of Friday 10th August, 2018 marked the end of the search for the Uganda’s beauty queen who will also be representing the country in the world’s biggest beauty pageant, Miss World. The breath-taking Quiin Abenakyo emerged the fairest of all the 22 beautiful contestants to be crowned Miss Uganda 2018 at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel Gardens.
Quiin is a 22-year-old from Mayuge district who is also a student at the Nakawa based Makerere University Business School (MUBS), pursuing a Bachelor in Business Computing, awaiting to graduate early next year.
Abenakyo was followed by the former Miss Teens, Tyra Margach and Aheebwa Patience among others. Sandra Khan and Nanziri Elizabeth were the other two of the top five finalists at the Miss Uganda 2018-2019 beauty contest.
Leah Kagasa had been the reigning Miss Uganda for two years since she was crowned in 2016 and the beauty pageant failed to happen last year (2017) over yet uncealr reasons by the management.
The fantastic night was hosted by the gorgeous NBS Katch up presenter Anita Fabiola and Queen Deedan while the judges of the night included Zari Hassan, fashionista Ahumuza Brian a.k.a Abryanz, former miss Uganda winner Sylvia Namutebi and Stellah Nantumbwe among others.
