4WD NRC: Mugambwa is 2017 4X4 challenge Champion

Rally drifter team of Julius Mugambwa and Sean Oseku has finally clinched their maiden 4×4 challenge title.

The pair entered the season finale at Ssisa track with only one point separating them from second placed Frank Tatya and were only looking for a win that they claimed to automatically send them to the title.

According to driver, Mugambwa, it was a very competitive season with just a point separating them before the final event but their solid strategy didn’t disappoint, it settled every thing.

He also added on that this year has been the most exciting season for the crew. It presented unfamiliar tracks which made the competition stiff.

“From Nsimbe to Mbalala. And for the first time to the at Island in Kalangala and finally Ssisa…. we really had fun exploring new tracks and proving ourselves in the cockpit that we could take on anyone any where, he said.

Meanwhile, Mugambwa’s top rival Frank Tatya managed to finish third overall behind Christian Milleti.
