AUPL: KCCA FC 3 – 1 SC Vipers
Former Onduparaka star Muhammad Shaban has continued to show of his worth at his new side, KCCA FC as he forced the ball across SC Vipers goal line twice to defeat them by 3 – 1 in a clash that was at Startimes Stadium Lugogo on Tuesday.
This was the first win for the Kasasiro Boys over the Kitende favorites to break the six matches no win deadlock in 540 minutes of play since Mike Mutebi boys last beat Miguel Da Costa’s on 15th April 2014 by 2 – 1. KCCA last beat Vipers 3 – 1 in on 24th September 2010 at Nakivubo Stadium.
The Yellow Brigade’s other goal came from lucky footed Derrick Nsibambi while Yayo Lutimba scored the Venoms’ consolation.
Shaban broke the deadlock as early as the seventh minute when he got the ball home after Paul Mucureezi knock down off Mustafa Kizza ball from a free kick.
The Venoms replied three minutes later from the spot through Yayo Lutimba after Taddeo Lwanga was brought down in the area by Timothy Awany. It took ten minutes for the champions to regain the lead through Shaban who headed another Kizza cross into the net.
The second half saw Vipers ask all sorts of questions as they searched for the leveller but they were dealt a blow when Derrick Nsibambi who had replaced Shaban scored the third for the Kasasiro.
The goal came after James Alitho, who started ahead of Ismail Watenga tried to beat Allan Kateregga but lost possession and Nsibambi put the ball behind the empty net.

Muhammad Shaban has now scored 6 goals in the only 3 matches he has played for his new side and this has earned him a name of ‘Goal Bank’ from KCCA fans who are excited about his brilliant performance.
The loss, Vipers’ second in eleven league games leaves them 6th on the league table with 17 points while KCCA are now positioned second with 22 points, just a point below table leaders, Police FC.
