Munta Royal College Again Retain the Schools Beach Soccer Championship

They won it in 2016, 2017 and 2018, Munta Royal College from Luweero remain the defending champions of the Annual National Schools Beach Soccer Championship.

It was the 7th edition of the tourney having started in 2012, happening yesterday, Thursday 15th March 2018 at Lido Beach Resort Entebbe with quite a number of secondary schools that had brought their sharp footed boys to help them clinch the title. These showed a great and enticing performance on the sandy pitch, having mastered the laws of the game as according to our analysts.

Munta Royal College now levels the record of winning 3 back to back titles of the Schools Beach Soccer Championship with Namagabi S.S from Kayunga that won it in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Other Winners

Just as last year, Taggy High School from Entebbe was the second in this Uganda’s Fastest growing sport (beach soccer) schools competition and Vision School still from Entebbe were the third.

Oloya Habib from Munta Royal College scooped the top scorer gong having netted 8 goals in this one day tournament, MVP title was given to Kizito Mustafa still from Munta while Aziz Abdul was chosen as the best goal keeper.

Central S.S.S was chosen as the Fairplay team.
