President Museveni is already in New York for the ongoing United Nations General Assembly, 72nd session, taking at the UN Headquarters running under the theme of Focusing on People that are Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for allover the world where he will address the assembly at 10:00 pm Ugandan time for 15 minutes on Tuesday, 19th September 2017.
However, close sources have revealed that Museveni is scheduled to hold various ‘high level engagements’ during his tour ahead of his address to the UN of whic one will be with the US President Donald Trump.
After that, President Museveni will attend a high level side event on Accelerating Efforts to eliminate Child Marriage in Africa by 2030 hosted by President Edgar Lungu of Zambia and a circle of leadership High level meeting on the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation hosted by the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres before holding a bilateral meeting with Mr. Guterres.
