Olympic Boxer Nanziri Eliminated at Last 32 as Kathleen Noble Progresses #Tokyo2020

It’s not good news from our team representing at Tokyo2020 Olympics following Catherine Nanziri, Uganda’s first female Olympic boxer havung her campaign ended on the debut after losing to Japan’s Tsukimi Namik in the Women’s flyweight division.

It has been at round where Tsukimi Namiki eliminated our own Catherine Nanziri 5-0 on ananimous decision.
Judges scores read: 30-27, 30-27, 30-26, 30-27, 30-27 in favour of Namiki.

It should however be noted that Nanziri made history as Uganda’s first female boxer at the Olympics.

In other news, Kathleen Noble came in second in the semi final E.

She then moves to Final E scheduled for Thursday 8:54am. She is the second fastest African rower at the Olympics so far
