Nkumba, UMU Fight for a slot in UFL Finals

Entebbe based Nkumba University are yet to settle their disputes with Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) today evening as they fight for a slot in the Finals of Nile Special University Football League after the first meeting ending in a barren draw at Nkozi.

Despite now paying more attention to the competition, the Nkozi based University has had little success against their opponents particularly away from home where they have lost the subsequent three games including an embarrassing 11 – 0 loss in 2012.

Nkumba coach Patrick Sebuliba is looking forward for that home comfort as his side is looking for that crucial win in the semifinal returnleg of the tournament.
“Playing at hoem is always intense because you don’t want to let down your home fans…. but this is something we have got accustomed to and have no doubt the boys will be able to contain the pressure and deliver” He Said

On another side, UMU Coach Shafik Bisaso has said that he has come for a win since he has never lost to Nkumba as a coach.
“Football is played in the present day and not in history, I know my players will deliver a win in Nkumba…… Besides, all those times that Nkumba has beaten Uganda Martyrs have been under other coaches,” Bisaso assured his fans.
In another game, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) will be travelling to north on Friday to take on Gulu for their second leg tie after claiming the first leg win by 1 – 0 in Nakawa.
