Kawempe Muslim 0 – 0 Kampala Queens (5 – 4)PEN

This was the first match of the day as defending champions, Kawempe muslim came from a goal down to win the highly pressing Kampala Queens by 5 – 4 in penalties. Despite a good performance on the unusual Artificial Stadium to most of the girls, the first half of the game ended when none of the girls had seen the back of the net.

Kampala Queens got a lead in the 60th minute of the game that was later cancelled by Kawempe’s Akirom Tracy volley in the 80th minute for the game to end in a 1 – 1 draw in the normal time.

Moments later, Kawempe Goal Keeper managed to save one of the Five spot kicks for the Eng Moses Magogo owned Kampala Queens FC while her her colleagues netted all theirs.

Gafford Ladies 0 – 1 Olira Women

It was a very tough contest in the second game of the day as Gafford Ladies took on Olira Women. A fantastic performance from Gafford’s striking force led by Sheeba Zalwango in the opening quarters of the game kept Olira’s defense line very busy and all positioned in their half.

However, Olira’s style of counter attacks saw them get a lead before the end of the first half of the game from a spectacular finish by Nora Alikwi that demoralized Gafford’s entire squad for the rest of the game.

Despite Gafford’s intense pressing and tactical substition, Olira’s back line looked very organized keeping their opponent’s magical striking force blunt throughout the game, only managing to hit the bar twice.
