“The Uganda Police has today, the 4th of September arrested a one Dorothy Nabulime who is seen in the viral clip circulating on social media assaulting a little child. She will be produced in Court on Monday 5th September over assault charges,” a tweet from the CID reads.
In a 1:56 minute video, a woman who is confirmed to be the biological mother of this two year old girl, is seen repeatedly beating this toddler with a shoe while hurling all sorts of sharp words at her. This little child falls out of the basin, onto the verandah, and down onto the ground, headfirst – but the bitter woman continues to hit her vigorously with the shoe, asking her to get up, back to the basin and bathe her self.
Having landed on the video, several social media users began sharing it across different channels on Friday night whilst calling out the woman’s violent behaviour. A couple of media personalities including Dembe FM’s Isaac Katende a.k.a Kasuku and NTV Uganda’s Faridah Nakazibwe also shared the video on their Twitter accounts and called upon their followers to share the video until it reaches to responsible authorities so that the woman can be got and charged accordingly
A few hours later, Police confirmed arresting Dorothy Nabulime who is the biological mother of the two year old girl and is going to be charged accordingly.
