The Uganda Police has re-arrested Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert popularly known as Bobi Wine just a few minutes after being set free by the Court Martial.
Earlier today, the state through the Director of Public Prosecution withdrew the charges against the celebrity Member of Parliament that was chaired by Lt. Gen. Gutti and later released.
However, as he was leaving the court with his lawyers and those few that attended the court, that is where the police got him and he is now reportedly taken to the Chief Magistrates court in Gulu.
He has then been charged with treason, that he together with MP-elect Kassiano Wadri, Gerald Karuhanga, Paul Mwiru and others allegedly pelted stones at one of the cars in the President’s convoy with the intention of harming the president
Bobi Wine has now been remanded until August 30th but the court has allowed him to access medical attention in any private facility he so wishes.
“This court as a custodian of justice cannot sit back as the health of the accused deteriorates, you are however remanded till 30th of this month” Magistrate
On this date, Hon. Kyagulanyi will appear in court with his co-accused but he will be seeking medical attention under the watchful eye of a prison authority.
