Prof. Venansius Baryamureba who acted as same Makerere University Kampala Vice Chancellor from 2009 to 2012 is seeking for a return in the same office if all goes well and his name has been successfully shortlisted among the candidates for the Makerere University Vice Chancellor post.
This was confirmed by Irene Ovongi-Odida, the team leader for the VC search committee, following Current Vice Chancellor Prof. Ddumba Ssentamu’s term of office expiring this August 31 2017.
Baryamureeba will run against Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe and College of Humanities and Social Sciences principal, Prof. Edward Kasujja Kirumira.
