We have learned of the unfortunate death of legendary rapper Denis Kalimu Nampeera popularly known as Mulekwa who has been battling with throat cancer.
Mulekwa Nampeera has been bedridden with cancer since June this year and has been admitted at Kiruddu hospital where he lost the battle from.
Who is Mulekwa?
Mulekwa has been a rapper, lyricist and story teller under the Ab’enganda Clan group of Underground Hiphop rappers. He has been widely known for his songs such as Mpabula, Abaana Bano, among others alongside his beef with another rapper known as St Nelly Sade who has also been broken down by the ill fated news.
“We’ve lost #Mulekwa a dear brother in the Hip Hop community of Uganda. May God comfort his family, friends and relatives.” St Nelly Sade tweeted.
Ths is the second rapper under the Abenganda Clan to pass on after Robert Mugalu a.k.a Rokym who also succumbed to cancer back in 2014.
Burial
Mulekwa Nampeera will be buried tomorrow, Thursday 29th November in Nsanvu – Ajija town, Buikwe district, at Suudi’s Family at 4:00 pm.
