Real Madrid thrash Juventus 4-1 to retain Champions League title

It was a historical Saturday night for Champions league football while the Spanish side and 2016/ 2017 La Liga giants Real Madrid thrashed Italian Side and 5 Serie A titles back to back winners Juventus to retain the UEFA Champions league trophy, the first ever seen moment in the new Champions league era since 1992.

Another page in the club’s book of history was added confirming their place as one of this competition’s best-ever teams by easing to a 4-1 win over Juventus at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium to claim for their 12th trophy.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s crisp strike was canceled out by Mario Mandzukic’s breathtaking  volley in the first half.

Just after the second stanza commencement, Madrid was put ahead by Casemiro’s deflected effort before Christiano quickly ending the contest with his second of the night and later substitute Marco Asensio putting a dead lock to Juventus’s hopes of the trophy.
