Tomorrow 31st of August will be the much anticipated football clash at Mandela National Stadium – Namboole as the Mighty Uganda Cranes will be tussling it out with the Egyptian Faraohs in a bid to secure a place in the 2018 World Cup that will be played in Russia.
The Egyptian team of over 30 players and officials arrived yesterday night under tight security at Entebbe International Airport amidst cheers from mostly English Premier League side clubs of Liverpool and Arsenal fans.
Among the mostly cheered for players was Arsenal FC’s Midfielder Mohamed ElNeny, Liverpool FC’s forward Mohammed Salah, Stoke City’s attacking midfielder Ramadan Sobhi, Wigan Athletic’s Sam Morsy, legendary 41 year old goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary among others.
The players are now at Sheraton Kampala Hotel prepaaring for the Uganda Cranes they earlier tasted in the group stages of the Gabon 2017 AFCON in a nail biting match that ended 1 – 0 in favor of the faraohs.
The return leg will be played at Borg El Arab Stadium – Alexanderia, Egypt on 6th September 2017. Come on hoorah at the Boys.
