KCCA FC registers first home Loss to SC Vipers

Serunkuuma’s goal not been enough to stop Vipers securing home and away win against KCCA FC.

KCCA FC 1 – 2 SC VIPERS: As promised by SC Vipers head coach Jorge Miguel Duarte Da Costa  that he is going to be first coach to ruin KCCA FC home unbeaten run, it is as it happened at Phillip Omondi Stadium Tuesday evening when SC vipers made history of being the first away team to win KCCA FC from the home grounds of Lugogo this season.

Mike Mutebi’s boys showed off a great performance in the first 45 minutes by leading the game 1 – 0 from a stunning penalty strike from Geoffrey Sserunkuma after Vipers Defender Wadada made an hand ball in the forbidden area.

However, in the second half of the game, KCCA defence was put on tenterhooks by Vipers striker Tony Odur, asking them very many questions, that led them make a blunder in the defense gifting SC vipers an equalizer through Tonny Odur in the 64th minute of game play.

The visitors kept on pressing the ball through spaces created by KCCA FC players who were also looking for a second goal, and in the 71st minute, a stunning header from defender Geoffrey Wasswa gave Vipers the lead.

Although Mike Mutebi tried using different tactics to secure the home unbeaten run not being shuttered, Da Costa proved to had come with unbreakable ones.

Referee Alex Muhabi blown the last whistle after  the 90 minutes ending the game 2 – 1 in favor of the visitors, securing an home and away victory for Vipers against KCCA FC this season.

Despite the loss, KCCA FC is still topping the league table with 48 points from 24 matches with 2 games in hand and Vipers shifted to the third position at 42 points in 25 matches sending URA FC to the 4th place.

KCCA FC this Friday has to attack the red Army (Express FC) at Muteesa I stadium Wankuluku to be asked more questions about the title race.
