The fight against Lecturers that feast on female students sexually to reward them free marks has taken a new twist in Makerere University and today, one of the suspects has been sacked.
The axed lecturer that had turned out to be horny to every student in his class is Don, Dr. Swizen Kyomuhendo, a senior lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA).
This has come in the time when reports over sex for Marks in higher learning institutions have been on a high. It also follows the MUASA Chairman, Dr. Kamunyu’s earlier vows of suspending any lecturer alleged in any form of Sexual Harassment at the most prestige higher learning institution in Uganda.
Kyomuhendo’s suspension was sanctioned by Prof Barnabas Nawangwe, the Makerere University Vice-Chancellor saying it will allow for smooth investigations into allegations labelled against him. Nawangwe has also set up an Investigation Committee to handle the matter at hand.
Strict Laws on Kyomuhendo
The sex addicted lecturer has now been ordered to hand over all University property including students’ scripts that are in his possession and any other work in progress under his care. Kyomuhendo is also advised to desist from any access to the College premises and interactions with any student of Makerere University until investigations are complete.
