Popular female singer Dian Namukwaya aka Spice Diana is nursing injuries she sustained on Sunday night after being allegedly clobbered by cops while at the Kampala Capital City carnival.
The singer, who was rushed to a top medical facility for treatment after being clobbered, said she had just finished performing when she all of a sudden saw cops surrounding her and before she realized what was going on, several batons, stick, blows, slaps etc were raining on her.
“I was beaten so badly and disrespected by ruthless so called police officers. I am now nursing wounds. When I asked them why they were beating me, they arrogantly said they were doing their job…. during the scuffle, they harmed innocent people and kids too.” She lamented.
The singer is currently bedridden as she undergoes medical attention, although it is not yet clear why she alleges cops clobbered her and what she was doing when they did so.
However, a source who was at the carnival revealed to us that Diana was engaging in some form of misbehaving at the carnival and while in a drunken stupor, she insulted cops who were trying to tell her not to disrupt other partiers, which triggered off the beating.
