Uganda Finishes 3rd in World Cross Country Championships

Yesterday, Uganda hosted the first ever in the country international IAAF championships, the World Cross Country Championships at kololo Airstrip ground where over 500 athletes from 59 countries competed for medals in different categories and $310,000 prize money.

Uganda bagged the 3rd position with 3 medals, 1 gold from young-star Kiplimo and 2 bronzes making 32 points just after Ethiopia with 9 medals (91 points) and Kenya with 12 medals (112 points).

Uganda’s mixed relay team was disqualified from Yesterday’s tournament.
