The first weekend of this November 2017 saw the conclusion of the fourth round of the FUFA Women lite League, a Ugandan top flight women club football competition. Different matches were played and here is how it happened on different stadiums.
Ajax Queens Football Club put up a superb performance to earn a convincing 2 – 0 win against Gafford Ladies at Kanyanya playground by goals from defender Bridget Nabisaalu and season debutant Maureen Afoyo that sent them to the second position in the Victoria Group.
At Nakawa, it saw She Corporate registering a third goalless draw in four games after being held by Muteesa I Royal University in a barren stalemate. Another game was between Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga against Wakiso hills seeing the latter getting their first win this season by an own goal from Wakiso Hills defender Agnes Mukera.
Defending champions, Kawempe Muslim SS beat Rines FC by 2-1 by goals from Juliet Nalukenge and Aisha Namagembe to seal their place on top of the table of the Victoria Group. Rines FC’s consolation goal was scored by Janat Peace.
Kampala Queens defeated She Mak with 2 – 0 by a brace (two goals) from Namuleme Zaina.
