Abdallah Mubiru on a Two-Year Working Contract Will Replace Moniz Traguil.

Tactical Abdallah Mubiru Returns at MTN Omondi-Lugogo.

The buzz has got it that Abdallah Mubiru is set to sign a two-year contract with Kasasiro Boys as the club aims to bounce back from a period of struggle. Mubiru is expected to replace the departed Portuguese national, Sergio Moniz Traguil, who was dismissed due to poor performance, failing to secure any victories during his tenure.

Jackson Magera has been serving as interim coach, but the team has yet to see positive results. The return of Abdallah Mubiru is seen as a strategic move by the KCCA club board, despite Mubiru being previously sacked by the same club in 2015, replaced by Coach Mike Mutebi.

At that time, Mubiru expressed dissatisfaction with the decision, stating that he was not given sufficient time for his new project.

The decision to appoint Abdallah Mubiru was reached after a thorough vetting process, which included consideration of Alex Isabirye, also known as ‘Musongola.’ Musongola, the former Vipers coach, achieved a double win at the Kitende side last season. However, he was not selected due to a misalignment with the club’s DNA.

The board was cautious in its vetting process, ensuring that the chosen candidate possessed the mentality and philosophy of the club, including a commitment to fantasy play and a specific style of football.

Currently positioned in the bottom three on the table, Mubiru faces the challenging task of restoring the club to its former glory, revitalizing the mentality, and instilling a winning spirit.
